Demolition & Abatement of the United Nations Secretariat Building
Curtain Wall to be performed by Wing Inc.

WOBURN, MA – The United Nations and Skanska Construction announced today that Wing Inc. – Specialty Trades will perform the demolition and abatement of the curtain wall on the United Nations Secretariat building in New York as part of the $1.6 billion Campus Master Plan renovation of the entire United Nations complex in Manhattan.

The United Nations Secretariat Building, completed in 1952, is a 510 feet tall skyscraper and the centerpiece of the United Nations Headquarters, located in the Turtle Bay area of Manhattan, in New York City. This building is connected to the Conference Building to the north that houses the General Assembly, the Security Council, among others, and a library building to the south. The demolition and abatement of the curtain wall is a $10 million dollar project that includes work on both the East and West elevations.
